Ahhh… A ProFlowers Spa Gift Basket Review

by Ashley on July 20, 2010

While I love the relaxation that came with this review, I have to note the manner in which I received it first. I am always excited to see a package at the door, even if I know what is inside. Sometimes I find myself a little mystified at the packing approach used, as my products are strewn about in some haphazard manner and not at all looking like the pretty picture that encouraged me to buy said product in the first place. This being said, I was a little nervous when my Spa Gift Basket from ProFlowers arrived. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted by what I found when I opened the box.

I loved how neatly it came, without an overabundance of packing materials, while being secure. While that may not always be such a concern when I order something for myself, it does matter when I’m ordering a gift for someone (you know, like if you send something to your mother-in-law and it looks like a disaster. Not a good situation). So, before my day of refereeing and cleanup even began, I was happy with the way it started!

Continuing into said insanity, I must say that I love my children. I do. However, there are those days that when dinner is over, I throw the towel (quite literally at times) in to my husband and need to escape upstairs. After a few rounds of “Mo-oom, she took that from me” and “Ahhh noo mum-mum-mum” back and forth between my four year old and seventeen month old, let’s just say mom is ready for a bubble bath.

Luckily for me, ProFlowers has just the right products for this kind of life week ahem.. day. The sumptuous green tea bubble bath quickly eased some of the strain (at least the past hour of whining). The scent is so relaxing without overwhelming your senses. Because it was just that kind of day, I lit the pillar candles included in this package (nice touch, ProFlowers) and let my mind relax. I love when I get to use a product that is nice on my skin and the scent lasts more than a few minutes. To further my relaxation, I brewed a cup of the Calm Tazo tea that was included in the basket after my bath (and after my husband put the kids to bed). Deep in my Zen state, I settled in with a good book and my cup of tea, and enjoyed the peaceful evening.

Of course, with morning ensued the normal chaos. Luckily, the gift basket included shower gel as well in the same amazing Green Tea scent. By the time I got to my shower (it was before 5, I swear), I was in deep need of relaxation from my shower gel. And maybe in need of some of that Awake Tazo Tea included.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift to help someone (ahem, you) relax, be sure to check out ProFlowers and their great selection of Spa Gift Baskets at http://www.proflowers.com/spa-baskets-spa! And look how neatly they come:

This post was inspired by the amazing Gift Basket I was provided with from ProFlowers, though I received no other compensation for this post. My opinions, thoughts and feelings are my own (because really, who else cares as much about packaging as I do?).
